191 words · no sign-upI would choose Option B, because giving some residents a bus is more important than making an existing service more frequent. My main reason is that people in the new suburbs currently have no choice at all. My cousin lives in one of these developments, and since there is no bus, she has to drive forty minutes to work every day, which costs her around $400 a month in gas and parking. Teenagers in her area cannot get to part-time jobs or the college without asking their parents for a ride. A new route would change their daily lives completely. My second reason is the future. These neighbourhoods are growing quickly, and if residents become used to depending on cars now, it will be much harder to convince them to use transit later. Building routes early encourages good habits and reduces traffic on the highways. I realize that more frequent buses would be convenient on crowded routes. Even so, those riders already have a bus every twenty minutes, while suburban residents have nothing. Therefore, I believe Option B would make the transit system fairer and more useful in the long run.
Why this answer works
- The cousin's forty-minute drive and $400 monthly cost make the first reason concrete and convincing.
- The second reason looks ahead to future habits, adding depth beyond the immediate problem.
- It uses accurate linking language, such as 'even so' and 'therefore', to manage a balanced argument.
