133 words · no sign-upGetting my driver's licence in Ontario was quite an adventure. I already had a licence from my home country, but I still had to take the road test here, and I failed the first time. I was so focused on staying exactly at the speed limit that I forgot to check my blind spot when changing lanes, and the examiner stopped the test right there. I was really embarrassed, because I'd been driving for ten years. After that, I took four lessons with a local instructor, who pointed out a few habits I didn't even know I had. On my second attempt, about a month later, I was much calmer and I passed easily. Honestly, failing the first time made me a better and safer driver, so now I'm actually glad it happened.
Why this answer works
- Sets up an interesting contrast: an experienced driver who still failed.
- Explains the exact reason for failing, which shows precise vocabulary (blind spot, changing lanes, road test).
- Ends with an attitude change, which is a natural and effective conclusion.
