135 words · no sign-upOne game I'll never forget is a hockey game I watched with my coworkers in a pub in Vancouver during the playoffs. I'd only been in Canada for about six months and I didn't really understand the rules, but everyone around me was so excited that I got into it too. The home team was losing by two goals with only five minutes left, and people were starting to leave. Then they scored twice in less than three minutes, and the whole pub went crazy. Strangers were hugging each other, and my coworker was trying to explain what icing meant while shouting at the screen. They won in overtime. I think it was memorable because it was the first time I really felt part of something here. Since then I've become a real hockey fan.
Why this answer works
- Builds suspense with time markers (five minutes left, less than three minutes, overtime).
- Describes the atmosphere, not only the score, which makes the description richer.
- Explains why it mattered personally, which directly answers the second part of the task.
